Fehr & Peers and its subsidiaries (referred to collectively as “Fehr & Peers,” “we,” “us,” or “our” in this Privacy Policy) value the privacy of our clients, subconsultants, vendors, contractors, employees, job applicants, and website users, as well as members of the general public (referred to as “you” or “your” in this Privacy Policy). This Privacy Policy describes the types of Personal Information Fehr & Peers may collect about you in the course of our business, how we use Personal Information, how and when we may disclose Personal Information, and how you may exercise your rights with respect to your Personal Information. Fehr & Peers does not sell your Personal Information and does not share your Personal Information with advertisers. We intend to comply with the privacy laws that apply to our business and to apply these practices to all our offices.

I. What Personal Information Means
Personal Information means information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular person or household. It does not include publicly available information or lawfully obtained, truthful information that is a matter of public concern. Personal Information does not include aggregated or deidentified information.
Some Personal Information is defined as “Sensitive” Personal Information under California or other applicable law. We do not collect or process Sensitive Personal Information to infer characteristics about you.
II. Categories of Personal Information Fehr & Peers Collects
Fehr & Peers may collect the following categories of Personal Information and has done so within the 12 months since this Policy was last updated. Some types of Personal Information listed below are only collected from our employees and not from the general public.
- Identifiers (such as a real name, alias, postal address, unique personal identifier, online identifier, Internet Protocol address, email address, account name, social security number, driver’s license number, passport number, or other similar identifiers)
- Personal information described in the California Customer Records statute (such as name, signature, social security number, physical characteristics or description, address, telephone number, passport number, driver’s license or state identification card number, insurance policy number, education, employment, employment history, bank account number, credit card number, debit card number, or other financial information, medical information, or health insurance information)
- Characteristics of protected classifications under California or federal law (such as race, national origin, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability, and age)
- Commercial information (such as records of personal property, products, or services purchased)
- Internet or other electronic network activity information (such as browsing history and search history)
- Geolocation data (such as location information automatically captured by IT security systems)
- Audio and visual information (such as audio and video captured by our office security systems and recordings of events, conferences, and meetings)
- Professional and employment-related information (such as past and current employment history and employee performance)
- Education information subject to the federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (such as student transcripts)
- Inferences (drawn from any of the categories of information listed above to create a profile reflecting a person’s preferences, characteristics, psychological trends, predispositions, behavior, attitudes, intelligence, abilities, and aptitudes)
III. Where Fehr & Peers Collects Personal Information From
Fehr & Peers may collect Personal Information from the following sources:

- Our clients
- Our subconsultants, vendors, and contractors
- Users of our services
- Visitors to our website and users of our online tools
- Our social media accounts
- Job applicants and our employees
- Our internet content filtering and identity protection service providers
- Security systems at our office locations
IV. Why Fehr & Peers Collects Personal Information
Fehr & Peers may collect Personal Information for the following reasons:
- To provide services to you or our clients
- To communicate with you
- For our internal administrative, planning, product development, marketing, and research requirements
- To administer the recruiting and employment application processes
- To administer our relationship with our employees
- To process, make, and receive payments
- To verify eligibility for clients’ small, minority, or other disadvantaged business enterprise classifications
- To administer information technology services, including IT security and website analytics
- To maintain security at our office locations
- To comply with federal, state, or local laws
- To cooperate with law enforcement agencies concerning conduct or activity that we reasonably and in good faith believe may violate federal, state, or local law

V. Who Fehr & Peers Discloses Personal Information to
Fehr & Peers may disclose Personal Information to the following categories of third parties:
- Our wholly owned subsidiaries
- Our clients, subconsultants, vendors, and subcontractors as part of our services
- Service providers that provide us with recruiting and human resources support services and administration
- Service providers that provide us with payment, accounting, and payroll support services and administration
- Service providers that provide us with information technology support services and administration
If needed, Fehr & Peers may also disclose Personal Information to the following categories of third parties:
- Our insurance companies to make insurance claims or perform investigations
- Our legal counsel to exercise or defend actual or potential legal claims or perform investigations
- Federal, state, and/or local agencies to comply with applicable laws or to comply or cooperate with an investigation
- Other third parties to comply with a court order or subpoena or to exercise or defend actual or potential legal claims
VI. How Long Fehr & Peers Retains Personal Information
Fehr & Peers retains most records relating to the services we provide to our clients, which may include Personal Information, for 15 years from the close of the project. We retain most Personal Information about employees during the length of employment plus 4 years after employment has ended and most Personal Information about job applicants for 4 years from creation. The criteria we use to determine retention periods includes the length of time we have an ongoing relationship with you, our obligations under applicable law and professional standards, and the potential for claims, litigation, investigations, or other legal or regulatory issues.
VII. Fehr & Peers Does Not Sell Personal Information or Share it With Advertisers
Fehr & Peers does not sell your Personal Information and has not done so in the preceding 12 months. We do not share your Personal Information with advertisers and have not done so in the preceding 12 months.
VIII. Collection of Personal Information from Children
Fehr & Peers’ website is not directed to children. Fehr & Peers does not knowingly solicit or collect Personal Information online from children under the age of 18 without prior verifiable parental consent.

- The Right to Correct: You have the right to request that Fehr & Peers correct any inaccurate Personal Information we maintain about you.
- The Right to Non-Discrimination: Fehr & Peers will not discriminate against you because you exercised the right to know, delete, or correct under this Privacy Policy.
