The features were developed using rigorous analytical techniques, including empirically derived, predictive equations of passenger and delivery vehicle loading demand and space needs, VISSIM microsimulation modeling of the curb and adjacent travel lane(s), and accounting for how changes in vehicle fleet mix affect key transportation metrics.
